Join Brian Ball, Host of WomensRadio Music Review, in welcoming San Francisco Bay Area touring indie singer/songwriter Katie Garibaldi.  At the age of 25, Katie has recently released her sixth full-length album, Next Ride Out, produced by editor-in-chief of Guitar Player magazine Michael Molenda

Katie’s songwriting has been compared to such greats as Sheryl Crow, Fiona Apple, Ani DiFranco and Jewel, and while Katie is still in her twenties, she has already started her own label, Living Dream Music, she has recorded half a dozen albums, and has acquired a devoted fan base through her aggressive touring schedule.

More about Katie Garibaldi
San Francisco's Katie Garibaldi offers something original and distinctive, as well as possesses a strong business savvy that has gotten her far ahead on the road of an indie artist.  Recently, Katie Garibaldi proudly released her new full-length CD, Next Ride Out.  This marks the sixth full-length CD release for the 25-year old singer/songwriter who Radioindy calls, “a folk-pop tour de force to rival those of similar singer-songwriters whose brands are veritable household names. Like Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Fiona Apple or Ani DiFranco, Garibaldi is a soulful singer/songwriter of real – if largely unheralded - merits.” Michael Molenda, noted producer, engineer, and editor-in-chief of Guitar Player Magazine, the most authoritative guitar magazine in the world, produced Next Ride Out

Next Ride Out features ten original soul-satisfying tracks comprised of five brand new songs and five previously released and now rerecorded songs featuring fresh arrangements and performances.  Gilli Moon of Songsalive! states, “Her voice is almost like Sarah McLaughlin, and a touch of Feist, on a bed of edgy rockin’ grooves, country feels and memorable melodies.”

Next Ride Out is altogether vibrant and rich with lively performances, from strong Americana Roots Rock tunes, including “Hey, Hey Darlin’” and “Nothing Good Lasts”, to upbeat catchy pop treasures, such as “Say The Word” and “A Love Without Chains”, to moving ballads, “Falling For You”, a heart-tugging gem sure to grab every listener’s attention.  The album also includes an enjoyable re-creation of Katie’s song “Went Too Far (Foot In My Mouth),” which features Michael Gallant, Keyboard Magazine Senior Editor, on Grand Piano, giving a whole new spin on such an already likable song.

Katie states, “For this album, I’ve written songs about real love, coming together in a relationship, and the gray area of a broken heart still in love.”  These songs also carry a bit more humor, vulnerability, and self-discovery than her past work has shown.  Maturity, both musically and emotionally, is evident, and the artist gives us more heart and soul than ever before.  Katie Garibaldi’s sound is true Americana with a twist of sparkling pop, and a dash of sweet and spicy Rock, for a body of music that’s full of heart.

A budding humanitarian, the artist has done several benefit shows, directly working with non-profit organizations.  Katie Garibaldi is an innovative businesswoman, the owner of her own label, Living Dream Music, a creative recording artist, and aggressive national touring performer who has acquired a devoted fan base, due in large part to her engaging live shows, and personal connection to her listeners through her music.
