Stewart Blackburn is a writer and teacher whose focus is on helping and encouraging people’s journey home to themselves. He is the author of The Skills of Pleasure: Crafting the Life You Want and It’s Time to Come Home: With Kindness and Compassion We Come Back to Ourselves, as well as dozens of articles on shamanism, pleasure, and consciousness. He maintains a healing and teaching practice at his home in the jungle on the island of Hawaii.
Stewart is a trained professional chef with a Master’s Degree in Food Science who has transitioned into a teacher, counselor, and mentor to those seeking more peace in their inner world. He draws upon his extensive studies of shamanism, tantra, Buddhism, the mystical paths of the world, and genuine wisdom from anywhere.

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, Lynn Thompson welcomed Stewart to put their voices together at a safe distance by phone while discussing Pleasure and the importance of exploring “coming home to the inner self,” connecting with your “Higher Self,” and being your “Whole Self.” Together, they also share ideas about the current pandemic pause being an invitation to us to change how we are creating our lives in accordance with the inspiration we receive from our higher selves.

About Lynn Thompson

Lynn Thompson – Host and Producer of Living on Purpose

Lynn Thompson was raised in Ontario in Canada, living in Ottawa through her early school years.  After graduating from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) with a B.A. (Philosophy) in 1978, she traveled west by train across Canada with several stops along the way. For many years, Lynn was based on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, growing as a writer, photographer, postal courier and radio host. In June 2012, Lynn followed the highway to her roots in Ottawa. Now Lynn is based in Aurora (north of Toronto) since 2018, engaged in collaborative creative projects and editing for numerous writers.

Lynn launched into radio broadcasting in 2004 on CHLY in Nanaimo, BC (community campus station) as host and producer of talk show Living on Purpose. Since 2007, Living on Purpose is featured on WomensRadio, where Lynn offers listeners a nourishing blend of ideas and conversation with guestsauthors, musicians, healers, and philosopherswelcoming both new and established voices. In April 2020 Lynn launched The On Purpose Podcast on Podbean.
