Susan Michel founded Glen Eagle in 2002 with the vision of a being a valued partner to her clients in achieving their long-term wealth management goals.

Today, under her principled guidance, Glen Eagle has grown to become a national financial services firm providing its clients – including corporations, business owners and multigenerational families – with trusted stewardship and transparent access to their wealth.

Drawing upon her background as a longtime financial advisor and former teacher, Susan leads her team in delivering an educational, holistic focus on their clients’ goals. At the same time, she has positioned Glen Eagle at the forefront of change, with flexible online technology to inform and empower clients.

As a mother of four successful adult children and a daughter taking care of elderly parents, Susan believes strongly in honoring her clients’, and her employees’, life goals. With the credo of “Faith, Family, Firm, in that order,” she prioritizes purposeful conversations which often revolve around relationships and family, in advising clients on their financial and personal decisions.

Glen Eagle specializes in financial planning for business leaders, to include strategic planning for business growth capital, intergenerational family and business finances, and succession planning. Glen Eagle is a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise.

Susan’s business leadership has been recognized with the 2015 Brava Award by Smart CEO; and Glen Eagle received the 2016 Circle of Excellence Award by the Greater Monmouth County Chamber of Commerce. Susan is a frequent speaker, most recently at Financial Advisor’s Invest in Women Conference, the Enterprising Women Conference, and the Capital Region Minority Chamber of Commerce/Trenton Business Week Event. She is a guest contributor for Enterprising Women Magazine and has been featured in Fortune, Forbes and Newsweek.

Susan is an active member of the Women’s’ President Organization (WPO), Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) as a member of their premier circle of women business owners, the Friendly Sons and Daughter of Saint Patrick of Mercer County, is a Trustee of the Barnegat Light Taxpayers’ Association (BLTA) and is Treasurer of the Iron Mike Foundation of Trenton Catholic Academy. Susan also serves on the board of Trustees for the College of St. Elizabeth’s.

Susan is a graduate of the College of Saint Elizabeth, and began her professional career as a teacher. Since 1988 Susan has incorporated her love of teaching and financial expertise into her career as a financial advisor.

Family is an important theme in Susan’s personal life. She has successfully raised four children with love, encouragement and dedication in helping them to each reach their own personal goals. Her oldest son graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served two combat tours in the Middle East. Her other two sons each attended Yale University and her daughter graduated from the University of Notre Dame.
